Introducing our new staff – Welcome Gwenda!

Gwenda Steff has joined the Junior Campus staff this year as a Learning Support Officer to provide literacy and numeracy support for students in Years 3-6. Gwenda has a background in teaching
English as a Second Language and/or Second Dialect. She has taught in Victoria, Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia and has held positions in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions and consultancy positions with the Education Department of WA. Gwenda has a love of painting, literature and writing. She has held two successful art exhibitions in Penshurst and St Kilda, has had poetry and short stories published in various publications throughout Australia and is a Past President of the Fellowship of Australian Writers (WA). Along with
composer Andrew Batterham, Gwenda has written libretti for two works performed by the Australian Chamber Orchestra. She is a member of Hamilton’s FineLiners writing group and conducts writing workshops for students and adults. In 2020, Gwenda published her memoir, “A Memoir In Poetic Form”. She currently lives in Dunkeld.
