GSC Christmas in July

GSC is pleased to announce the ‘Christmas in July’ Trivia Night held last month raised $413.55 for the local WDHS MRI 4U & I fund. The night was a glowing success. Based at the WDHS, Live 4 Life Coordinator, Chloe Wilson, has brought a willing and enthusiastic team together to train in the area of youth mental health. Known as the “Crew”, the select group spend invaluable time together, collaborating on events to facilitate at their respective schools. In the interest of creating peer awareness around youth mental health, the program aims to make the topic a comfortable one and to encourage kids to come forward if they are facing some difficulties in their lives. The induction day, at South-West Tafe was a great success

 

2022’s Crew is made up of 16 awesome young people from each secondary school in Hamilton, with a strong team of 6 having been selected from Good Shepherd College.  This team includes Lachie McDonald, Grace Lane-Bland, Emily Elton, Kyra Comtesse, Xzavier Millard, and Ryan Hilsdon. We look forward to watching this space.
