I was so pleased to be able to attend both Senior and Junior Campus Book Week Parades! The Senior Campus students began the day with a presentation of characters in groups and then by PCG. A wide range of characters were shown, and so much creative ability!
The Junior Campus students were joined by the Kinder children from GSECS, and there were many AMAZING costumes on display. Students spoke into the microphone, describing who they were and mentioning the book they were from.
The staff were on board too – I think we enjoy dressing up almost as much as the students!
Reading is a vital skill and reading with your child is a great way to teach them about the enjoyment of reading. It also improves vocabulary, writing skills and opens up interest in the world and people. Setting a good example is a major key to pass on a love for reading or a desire to read.
